Who We Are

About

Great Lakes Circus Center is Grand Rapids' new circus arts focused studio. Our goal is to become the leading circus facility for training, professional development, and collaboration in west Michigan. Our mission revolves around providing safe, accessible circus training and professional growth opportunities for youth and adults in a noncompetitive, collaborative, social enriching, nurturing environment.

With a focus on safety, inclusion, and collaboration our goal is to have something for everyone. We offer a variety of weekly recreational classes that are suited for all skill levels, from complete beginners to seasoned students, including aerial silks, lyra, aerial sling, dance trapeze, partner acro, flexibility, aerial conditioning, and flow arts. As well as several weekly opportunities to practice your new found circus skills and get to know the many members of our community.

A mission-driven contemporary circus program for children 10+ and their families. As a community pilot project, we focus on serving the Grand Rapids Southeast Side and Neighborhoods of Focus, seeking to create and support a thriving, equitable contemporary circus community in West Michigan.
